New Habits, New You & New Credit
A low credit score may be because of some poor habits or it may be because of bad choices and it may very well be because of events.
The great thing about this blog and blog writer is that there is no judgment! This is a safe place where we learn, change and grow. The past is the past and we are living for the future…Yay!
That means we create new habits, we create our new credit portfolio and we are creating a whole new us.
It is that easy and I am here to make it as easy as is humanly possible by sharing with you the tips and tools to make it happen.
First off, let’s start with the NEW HABITS. New habits require new beliefs and beliefs are a mindset. This is why you are being gifted a 30-minute coaching session to uncover the old habits that are no longer serving you and let them go in order to claim the new you.
You may be saying, sure Kim…I may have some old beliefs but am not into all the woo-woo and just like to get things done. Awesome, we can spend those 30 minutes making an action plan just for you.
Secondly, is the “new credit”. In order for creditors to issue you new credit you need to show that you have the following:
-The propensity to pay
-The ability to manage money and credit
-The willingness to be responsible
This leads us into the NEW YOU. I did position this last because it is all about you, your beliefs, your awareness, and your openness to change.
What is that old saying? If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always gotten…or something to that effect.
Point being, that changing our habits and beliefs is vital to obtaining good credit and putting you on the road to lowering your interest rates, opening up possibilities and giving you more options.
Woo-woo or no woo-woo, you can be well on your way to improving your credit and yourself by taking a few important action steps.
Write down on a piece of paper 10 beliefs that you have about money and credit. (e.g. Money doesn’t grow on trees, nobody will give me a loan, I can’t be trusted with money, etc.)
Next to each one of the beliefs I want you to rate them as to your own personal “believability”. Use a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being extremely low and 10 being very high.
Use a highlighter and highlight your top 3 limiting beliefs.
