Last night I enjoyed kicking back with my hubby and watching “The Great Wall” with Matt Damon. Wow! What an amazing story of courage, commitment and “TRUST”!
Movies like this make me ponder as I am always in search of the messages that speak directly to me and how I can better serve my tribe of credit worthy warriors. The message that is prevalent throughout the movie is “trust” and wouldn’t you know that today as the pondering continues, I contacted a mortgage lender and was overwhelmed how my Trust-O-Meter was tested. As a coach who specializes in credit and our emotional subconscious programming around it, I thought it interesting and write-worthy of opening it up for discussion.
We all have (including myself) triggers that arise from programs and beliefs that are rooted in our subconscious from past knowledge, input or experiences. Our subconscious is designed to protect us and it will do so at any cost unless it is taught otherwise. It is truly our jobs to recognize it in action and make a powerful commandment to do or not to do. Yes, you can release those limiting programs and beliefs that are no longer serving you and if that is something you are aware of and would like to pursue letting go of, I am excellent at doing so. However, what if you are unknowing and do not recognize that this is the case and it is holding you back instead of helping you move forward, well I am gifted in that arena too! One of the common threads in working with my clients is that there is a huge level of TRUST.
Without trust, it is very hard to actualize what it is that we desire. It is not impossible, but it is more of a struggle and who likes struggle?
It is easy to see and feel things when you are on the outside looking in without all the emotions coming into play and many of you experience this when you chat openly with your friends, however, although they love to impart advice it is not always easy to implement and that is why it is so important to work with someone, anyone really, who can help YOU put together an action plan that you are willing, able and excited about doing.
TRUST…will serve you greatly or land you flat on your face. Be sure as you move forward that you surround yourself and work with people who you share a high level of trust.
What does trust look like? Each of us are different and I can only speak for myself as I gauge trust on whether or not someone is transparent. Are they open or are they guarded? Are they willing to share or do they hold knowledge as a tool over you?
What does distrust feel like? With feelings, I get triggers when there is DISTRUST. For me it is a feeling that strikes me between my heart and my gut as I am a heart centered person. It triggers the sensation of hair standing straight up on the back of my neck and my radars attack my listening abilities as I completely stop hearing.
What does it sound like? Oooh! This one you must really be in tune with yourself as even minor inflections in ones voice and that in which they speak will vary in tone to the point that I again begin shutting down.
Shutting down is a clear indicator that something isn’t right. My job then is to determine the source and look within as well as from whom. Being open internally and externally is a level of growth and awareness that comes through practice and time. However, it is only fair to ourselves to allow yourself to be open, conscious and aware in order to follow your true truth and to connect to the higher truth.
Okay…I know that got a little “Woo Woo” and the point is this, when you are in truth, when you yourself are authentic and transparent, you will attract more of the same. When your radars go off, it is worth heeding the warning signs and investigate them at the very least. Lastly, when trust is in the equation, everything happens easy and effortlessly and gratitude is bountiful.
Obviously, when working with your finances, credit or any personal issues…TRUST is the number one thing that you should feel and have in order to get the most benefits from the mission you are on.
-Take 10 minutes and recall 3-5 times from your past that your “trust” indicator sent you warning signs.
-Write down the situations from above and make a list of feelings, visual indicators or words that sent you into a tizzy.
-Review above tizzies (that is my technical term for being out of balance) and ponder if they are serving you or holding you back.
-Reach out to someone (preferably a Coach) who can help you with letting go of what’s holding you back or contact me for a private session.
As always, if you have errors on your credit reports or items that do not belong to you and you are not having success getting them removed, please take action and contact me.
